After weeks of gossip, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner officially announced their divorce on June 30, 2015. The couple, which recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary, is splitting up amicably.
According to a joint statement issued by these world-famous Hollywood actors, Affleck and Garner are hoping to maintain a friendship post-marriage. The actors have three children together, and plan on splitting parental duties in the future.

One source close to both Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck claims that Affleck’s gambling addiction is partially responsible for the divorce. In fact, Affleck has been seen in several Las Vegas casinos participating in amateur poker tournaments since the couple split up.
More specifically, Affleck spent a night playing poker in Las Vegas on May 3, 2015. Affleck was also seen on the weekend of May 14th playing high-stakes Texas Hold ‘Em in Las Vegas. A friend of Affleck claims that the actor was in charge of caring for his children that weekend, meaning that he left them with a babysitter so that he could gamble in Las Vegas.

Ben Affleck’s recent string of appearances in Las Vegas coincides with the actor’s longstanding fondness for gambling at many of Nevada’s most popular casinos. Tabloids and gossip websites even reported that Affleck’s compulsive gambling habits lead to the actor being removed from a blackjack table in a Las Vegas casino, Affleck and Garner tried to address the actor’s gambling addiction in marriage therapy. Reports suggest that the couple participated in monthly therapy for over 2 years, hoping to save their marriage and family.
Although Ben Affleck claims to be sober, other gossip websites claim that Affleck’s penchant for booze-fueled weekends playing blackjack was one of the main reasons why Jennifer Garner wanted a divorce.
